Eileen Pasero
Executive Director, Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet
With a background in museum studies and experience in non-profit financial management, Eileen was promoted to Executive Director in September 2019, following a two-year stint as Food Pantry Assistant Director.
During her tenure, the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet won the Spirit of Batavia Award in 2021 for their response to the pandemic, which included, among other improvements, the development of an online order system to allow Pantry clients to shop safely while still maintaining client choice, which continues to be used today.
Since then, Eileen has worked with Batavia City partners and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood to secure a $3 million Community Project Funding Grant to purchase and renovate 916 First Street, which will serve as the larger, permanent location for the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, allowing us to support Batavia families better.
Jen Meiring
Director, Batavia Interfaith Clothes Closet
Jen has been the Director of the Batavia Interfaith Clothes Closet since March 2020. Before her time at the Clothes Closet, Jen worked in marketing and communications for 15 years. She then turned her attention to non-profit organizations. She served on the boards of the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation, the Alice Gustafson School PTO, and the Batavia Music Buffs.
Jen has made significant contributions to operations at the Clothes Closet, seeking out new grant funding opportunities, introducing new procedures to improve equity in every client experience, and ensuring that high-quality items are always available for families.
Kelly MacKenzie
Assistant Director, Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry
Originally a Clothes Closet volunteer, Kelly was invited to join the Food Pantry staff in March 2024.
Kelly has been instrumental in elevating the client experience, continually improving our practices, and promoting a positive environment with an atmosphere of dignity and respect for all who visit and volunteer at the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet.
